Props to Oregon leaving flowers at 27 yard line

I hadn't really thought about it before today, but I think a lot of the things that have gone on with honoring Sam Foltz could never have happened in the NFL. The "SF27" logos on the helmets and coach's apparel would run afoul of the NFL's uniform rule. If a team tried to do the missing punter formation like we did, no opponent would decline the penalty. I can't imagine any team doing the nice, simple gesture of leaving flowers at the 27 yard line like Oregon did either. And I can't imagine a player changing their number to honor a player from another team like Rafael Gaglianone at Wisconsin is doing for Foltz either. As much as college football has become more and more about big money, there is still a sense of simplicity and caring about people in college football that I don't think ever will go away. College football is Middle America's sport and i think still retains those values to a great extent.
