The results of this game with Iowa was nothing surprising...given past performances. The first reaction I had was "I'm tapping out of this sh*t show program".

The question that comes up is...did they actually show progress this year? The win/loss record is only 1 game better. They were definitely a Jekyll & Hyde team for the entire year. Looked good at times and also looked horrible at times.

It just comes down to progress...or lack of progress. I am done getting angry (but still really disappointed). Personally, I think Rhule has the same "deer in the headlights" look that Frost had. He talks a good talk but I am questioning his actual coaching ability and the staff he has surrounded himself with. Recruiting would have been immensely easier being 7-5 then it will be being 6-6.

My bottom line is that this year really was the same crap just a different season.

From an outsider, I don’t think the culture has changed from Frost to Rhule. Defenders are still celebrating and flexing good hits after long runs by the opponents. Haven’t seen a back story on not shaking hands pregame but I’m sure there is one.

I do think the overall play has improved under Rhule. He is bringing in play makers and taking chances. (Who has ever brought in a new OC mid season like that?)

The only progress we have made is making it easier to hate us by not shaking hands and playing with no class. Right now I feel people outside the big ten root for us, but not if we start acting like douchebags.
If people outside the B1G root for us, it’s only because they feel sorry for us. Kind of like the Mets in the early 60s.

We've got a ways to go discipline wise, but at least we haven't seen the LITERAL finger pointing and shoulder shrugging on the field that we used to. Pre-snap penalties are down. The offense was poor, but improved over the last three games.

If the team wins the bowl game, I'd call it progress. Others will not share my opinion, but there would be reasons for more optimism heading into next year compared to where we were 12 months ago at this time.

There is no progress. Making a worthless bowl is not progress. Same dumb mistakes. Soft team. And now adding the NU players are acting like dbags on the field. Culture sucks too. Rhule is a pos that we are stuck with for a minimum of one more year.

A public apology from Rhule is a start then he needs to tender his resignation.

if this is what Rhule is teaching...it explains a lot. This team has no reason what so ever to have an attitude.

Yes and people say Rhule is a master at building cultures. The culture in Lincoln right now is as bad as it ever has been. So serious question. What has Rhule actually done to build this program. Easy answer. Absolutely nothing

I would love to see an example of celebrating after long runs? Did Iowa even have a “long run”, outside of the TD? I do recall Johnson talking all kinds of crap after two and three years losses though. Iowa does more of the petty classless BS than anyone (not letting Nebraska have their team prayer, sending the band out during our warmup, etc, etc) and then hops up on their high horse and say stuff like this. But we lost, again, so here we are I guess.

That is all Iowa needed to get the deer in the headlights look.out of rhule and company

How so? Didn’t we come out and score on the first possession and shut down their offense for a half?
We would have a a nice year if Half of football games counted. Unfortunately Rhule has been full of bs and lies all season. And the culture of this program showed out last night. Pathetic culture he is building.

OK. But the notion that Iowa’s antics intimidated us and we weren’t ready to play is just silly.
