I think everyone needs to step back and relax.
This decision is out of our hands and all our speculation and frantic hopes will mean nothing to Bill Moos.
I remember everyone touting Callahan's pro success and how he would create excellence in our program because of his updated offense. I remember the first play of his first game when we had multiple shifts and people saying "wow" or 'ohh".
I also remember how he was a dark horse that didnt come into the picture until the end.
Remember Bo ? Everyone thought this up and coming coach would be perfect. His obnoxious personality and childlike tantrums a plus. Everyone was an expert.
When Reilly came on he was totally out the blue. I remember the first post I saw about him and how people were incredulous. Where did he come from?
Rumors, fantasy, inside connections mean nothing in this.
The first step to success was taken by the administration when they showed the courage and wisdom to hire a proven winner in Moos.
The next step is Moos'.
In his past stops he has proven to be a complete AD. One that can raise money, create a smooth administrative environment and most importantly hire great coaches.
He will do what he thinks is best and all this speculation is worthless because he is the decision maker.
We all seem to think NU is the dream job of all coaches. The facts of the matter is different. NU has great facilities and an incredible fan base, otherwise we are mediocre..for quite awhile.
Moos is an outsider with great connections and judgement. Have faith he will do the right thing
