Opened the season 3-0 (they play New Mexico again today in AZ).

5-2 over New Mexico
4-3 over Gonzaga
16-7 over Cal Poly

The big story so far is Trevor Larnach. He's hitting a paltry .889 (sarcasm) with 8 hits in 9 at bats and just 3 homeruns in 3 games.

Luke Heimlich is anchoring that starting rotation again, he's a tough one to beat no doubt.

Seems to be a solid team in both lineup (7 guys over .350) and pitching (per usual). Pat Casey has them off to a good start.

So Jealous! coolonetoo
Hopefully it will be enjoyable.

Ohio St was able to catch the Oregon St sleeping with a 6-1 win,
the Beavers only non conference loss during the regular season.
Hoping the Beavers may be looking ahead to avenge that loss.
Maybe the Huskers can catch Oregon St off guard, but I doubt it.
So all you can do, is give it your best game.
Don't panic if something goes wrong, play your game.
Cherish the opportunity in front of you.
The worst thing you can do is lose and just plain give up.
We're already expected to lose...
So don't quit until the game is over.
Have fun, compete, and play ball!

And when this game is over
we'll remind everyone how the Huskers split
2 extremely hard fought contests with Utah.

Heck yeah, there's a chance!
If the Huskers can only beat the Beavers once, in so many tries...
then let Thursday be the day it happens!
Go Big Red!
