Didn't have time to put this in original report but thought I'd add these few nuggets.
1. Shawn E. was at practice. That may not seem weird to you but Im around the team quite a bit and I've never seen him in person. He seems different (in a good way) than the stone cold killer you see on TV. The part that struck me is how many players went up to him and shook his hand and talk with him. Several any gave him a hug. I include all this because it goes against the perception. Hate to bring it up but I think a lot or most of the Bo Cloud is gone.
2. Pretty cool to see how this staff has changed recruiting landscape around here. Former coach complains about how hard it is and this staff just kills it. Cool to see big name Dads trust Mike enough to let their sons come here, i.e. Keshawn Johnson, Rick Speilman, Robert Porcher, Les Miles. Think it plays in big with recruiting strategy. You can trust that your child will be taken care of at Neb.
3. Finally as I was at practice and talking with Cam J. and A. Allen, Matt Davison and Kris Brown walked by. I asked them how old they were when we won the 97championship. Guess I forget how fast time flies, as they were born in 97 and 98. HOLY COW its been a long time since we've been good.
