Stanley Morgan on Tyjon Lindsey: "He's like a little ant out there. You can't really touch him." #Huskers

6:20 PM - Aug 22, 2017

* Riley said junior nose tackle Mick Stoltenberg returned to practice Monday. The Gretna graduate had been sidelined by a head injury.

* Freshman running back Jaylin Bradley has missed practice time because of an ankle injury.

* Riley said he's not ready to name a starting running back yet. "The three guys that healthy right now, Tre Bryant, Mikale Wilbon and Devine (Ozigbo), throughout camp, have been fairly consistent," Riley said. "They're making it difficult. We'll have it by the first of the week probably in a depth order."

* Riley said the team has handed out scholarships, but said the team is not done. An announcement on those will wait. Riley also said captains will be announced soon, possibly this weekend.

— Center Cole Conrad felt like Michael Decker outplayed him in the spring. The junior, who started Nebraska’s final stretch of games last fall at right tackle, moved to the position during the offseason workouts, so to have the starting job speaks to his work ethic. Conrad said he was worried about some of the technique stuff he struggled with in the spring, but he cleaned it up this August.

— Conrad spoke well of Deontre Thomas, who he’s faced several times over the last few weeks of practice. The center said Nebraska’s freshman nose tackle gives a little bit different look because of his quickness and athleticism off the snap.

Tanner Farmer said he’s happy that Boe Wilson challenged him and made him a better player.

Khalil Davis said there’s a lot of emphasis this camp with getting takeaways, causing fumbles and batting away passes.

4. Tyjon Lindsey, wide receiver, Nebraska: Maybe the most impressive recruiting win of the Mike Riley era at Nebraska, Lindsey decommitted from Ohio State to pledge with the Cornhuskers and brings with him outstanding big-play ability. Lindsey has a chance to be one of the most dangerous slot receivers in the Big Ten after being one of the most exciting prospects in the country on the high school level. He'll work himself into a steady rotation in year one if not the starting lineup.https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...shmen-who-will-have-breakout-seasons-in-2017/

https://hailvarsity.com/s/1943/more-fuel-for-the-tanner-lee-hype-train "The former Tulane starter has everything NFL scouts look for in terms of size, smarts, arm strength and accuracy. He also has quite a bit of speed to work with at the skill positions (keep an eye on spectacular freshman receiver Tyjon Lindsey). With all the preseason hype on Wisconsin, Lee and the Huskers could make things very interesting in the Big Ten West."
