We have a very unfortunate event which occurred early this morning for our program as well as for some individuals. However, as is typical with our hallowed scrolls, there are varying responses in terms of opinions and intensity. But I know this is crazy talk but let's put a little perspective and maturity into our thoughts.

First and most fortunate, no one's life has ended prematurely. As a fan base how quickly we forget the true severity of events.

Second, no one person is bigger than the program and shouldn't be if it's constructed correctly. Yes, coach Williams has had a positive impact in the recruiting relationships and Twitter wars and has two verbals commits, is that life altering to our program? Have we produce multiple award winners at WR? Do we not have other solid recruiters such as bray, parella, Davis?

Third, for those wanting to hang or acquit so soon, take a breathe. Yes, DUI is a serious offense because it can cause harm to others. Yes alcoholism is a situation that causes harm to others. Getting a dui doesn't make u a devil nor does being a high profile individual get u an immediate pass because u have a condition. There is no easy answer in this situation, no black and white so understand whatever the outcome there will be disagreement.

So take a step back and pause. If you've been hurt by drunk driving in some manner, look to for forgiveness to ease bitterness. If you suffer from abusing alcohol, look for understanding and compassion in regard to the results of decisions to those suffering. If you simply worry about the huskers, remember life is bigger than CFB and this is a reminder of such.
