If anybody truly thinks that Scott Frost is going to be fired at the end of the season this year you obviously do not know and/or watch football and understand or see what's going on.
Does Scott need to win? YES!! Do we need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot? OBVIOUSLY!! None of that is going to change by firing Scott. People on here still think that it's the 90s. If people on here also don't realize how decimated this team was by what Mike Riley left Scott with. Go back and look at the recruiting years of Mike Riley and see what he recruited for offensive lineman. He did Scott no favors. Scott has had 2 years and a covid year to recruit. When you can't get athletes on campus it's hard to get them to commit. That not only hurt Nebraska last year but it also hurt them this year. It's not having camps last summer getting younger recruits in there hurt them for this is recruiting class. Now having camps this summer and finally be able to get 2024 recruits on campus for next year you're seeing the momentum build.
People also want to complain about the current class ranking in the big 10 and in the nation. You can't do that much when you're only able to recruit 13 people in, because you have super seniors and a lot of underclassmen now that are freshmen and software still. The average team in the Big10 right now has 15-16 commits. So obviously the more people you have the higher you are. Scott said they wanted to sit on scholarships till during the season and thats what they are doing. 2-4 of the current commits have a great shot of getting bumped up to 4 stars.
Next years class is going to be good. 2- 4 stars already and sitting good with another 4-6 4 stars already. They just need to get on campus.
Now to the games. Offensive line(addressed recruiting earlier) needs fixed. Tackles kick step isn't there. Guards aren't playing inside out and Cam is playing pretty solid besides trying to help the guards. Need length at left tackle, 320lb plus guys at guards and a quicker guy at right tackle that can scoop and seal, so Adrian can roll out on Play Action. Fixing the line, playing on the other side of line of scrimmage, attacking the defense will make all the running backs look better also. Starters should be. LT Prochaska, LG Bando, C Cam, RG Nouli, RT Corcoran.
Finally Special teams. Kickoffs getting better. Kick return need more creativity. Same for punt returns. Also just field punt returns. Punts trajectories are off cause they are both connecting to low on the ball. I think a coach is hired full time this off season.
We fix the Special Teams and the Oline and this team is competing for the west division. This team is getting better and is going to rack up wins the rest of the season. #GBR #FROST
