Now I believe there will be zero starters next year who started a single game under Pelini. GBR mentioned Kalu as a distraction, and he might have snuck a start or two as a nickel/dime guy two years ago? Maybe DPE started in a 4-wide set?

What affect does Koresh, I mean Pelini actually have on the mindset of the guys who are playing next year, and which players are they? I want black and white. Anything else is just nebulous nonsense.

None, the issues are gone. Kalu will get knocked out if he attempts anything.

Like coach Riley said after the MCB, "this is the end of one team and the beginning of another."

That's a very strong statement. It confirm what many have said for the last 24 months.

Awesome. You've always been one to put it all out there, and it's much appreciated.

I had to work before the end of the game. Was that quote on the radio, or an article somewhere? Just curious. Would love to have heard the whole context of the comment.

I did not see that statement from Riley. Wow. That is not even very subtle. I think it really does confirm what many on here have been saying. And if that is true, then it gives me great hope for next year and beyond.

But I also have one further question concerning the "bad apples" that were still on the team this year. To what extent could some of them have also negatively influenced the recruiting process through their behavior/words to recruits during visits? I know that is just speculation, but it crossed my mind.

What about the other 6 or so possible senior starters next year? They were all Pelini recruits.

Lots of guys still on the team that are strictly Pelini recruits, but have now spent more time with MR and BP.

Alright, the new era is fully in. Will be interesting to see what the coaching staff and players can accomplish this coming season.

That statement could be uttered by every coach, in every sport, concluding each seasons final contest. And I doubt that any of them had their predecessor in mind when they said it.

Googled and found the depth chart for the 2008 depth chart for Bo's first game against CU. Here is the two deep for the Oline:
LT:
Mike Smith*, 6-6, 285, So., Las Vegas, Nev. - or -
Jaivorio Burkes*, 6-5, 325, So., Phoenix, Ariz.
LG:
Keith Williams*, 6-5, 305, So., Florissant, Mo. - or -
MIKE HUFF***, 6-4, 300, Sr., Ralston, Neb
C:
JACOB HICKMAN**, 6-4, 290, Jr., Bakersfield, Calif.
Mike Caputo, 6-1, 275, RFr., Omaha, Neb.
RG:
MATT SLAUSON***, 6-5, 320, Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.
D.J. Jones*, 6-5, 305, So., Omaha, Neb.
RT:
Lydon Murtha***, 6-7, 315, Sr., Hutchinson, Minn.
Marcel Jones, 6-7, 310, RFr., Phoenix, Ariz.

Slauson Murtha and Marcel Jones played in the NFL, Hickman could have and a couple of others made practice squads. Smith may have made the league if not for a broken bone his Senior year.
That roster was littered with NFL talent. Comparatively, the cupboard was a bit less well stocked upon Riley's arrival.

Go ahead and link every coach that uttered the statement.

There are always excuses. Talent, coaching, the turf, refs, cheating, the sun got in my eye, injuries, dissension within the ranks, I stubbed my toe, we had the flu, etc.
You equate talent and coaching, with stubbing a toe or the sun getting in your eye?

I don't know about this. In my experience, most coaches like to emphasize continuity over rupture when it comes to discussing how one season segues into another. Rarely have I seen a coach say at the end of a season after the bowl game that this is the end of one team and the beginning of another. At most they might say "what we have learned in the bowl and in this season will help make us a better team next year" and so on. I could be wrong, but the quote GBRhuskers posted strikes me as different.
