PC Notes Jalyn Gramstad our #2 QB for the bowl

Man I’m not so sure about that. We played an even worse schedule that season.

3 ranked teams. 16,19 and 8.

Started the season 0-6 including a loss to Troy, 5-7 Colorado, 6-7 Purdue and 5 loss Northwestern and Wisconsin teams.

Finally got on track against a 7-6 Minnesota team and Bethune Cookman. Destroyed a 4-8 Illinois team and won a 9-6 puke game against 7-6 Mich State.

I’m not sure you can predict 9-3 for Martinez when he passed for LESS yards than DR and a lower percentage. That’s a big flip in record.

We will never know but I can’t agree that it’s that cut and dry.
Have you not compared defensive statistics for each team. Amart

Uh, try comparing our defenses for each QB their freshman year. AMart had a defense that allowed 433.6 yards per game and 31.2 points per game. Compare that to 315.4 and 19.8 for Raiola.

Oh, and SOS was 26th in 2018 compared to 33 this year.

A-Mart had a much better OC

I saw it and know it. Our defense was awful due to Frist hiring his best bud who had a track record of teams giving up 35+ per game. Chinander was AWFUL and there was no one louder than me in here saying it from the first game and on.

But we are talking about the teams we played and how good they were (or weren’t) not our defense.

That’s a surprising statistic. Wonder how when we played so many teams with losing records in addition to Bethune Cookman. I mean 5-7 CU, Troy and Bethune Cookman is the weakest non conf schedule I recall in a long time.

Adrian wouldn’t win 9 games with Satt as OC either. Thats the thing everyone is forgetting.

Alright I saw where you got that stat and it isn’t complete as it doesn’t count Bethune Cookman. The complete rankings show Neb SOS at 39th that season and 37th this season.

So almost identical.

I would say that Frost was absolutely not the guy, and incompetent is fair. That said, his offense coached circles around Satt, which falls squarely on MR. But I believe DR would have put up some pretty eye popping numbers under Frost as OC vs what he did with mostly Satt this season.

Satt and Frost both had issues scoring points and punching in TDs. Great between the 25s, horrible in redzone
