I know you may not agree with me, and that’s fine, but I would say that we’ve never had a statue QB with Raiola’s potential either. If he develops at all and learns from his mistakes, he will be that much better. To compare him to other statues may actually be a disservice.

As far as HH getting crucified, I can see your point. But I don’t think Raiola has gotten off scott free either this year. Some posters have absolutely given him the benefit of the doubt. But quite a few have gone so far as to say he’s a bum and we would be better off if he hit the portal. That’s not giving him a pass.

Now if HH can improve from last year to this year, why do you think Raiola is a finished product now and won’t improve? I know you aren’t necessarily saying that, but you are assuming he will never take Nebraska where we want to go.

For me it comes down to him having almost no scrambling ability. The few times he has was because defenses dropped guys into coverage which you saw alot of post Illinois game. If Holgersen does focus on our RBs establishing a run game, then obviously Raiola's job will be alot easier. So far games like that are few and far between. Regardless, he'll continue to help recruit talent, so there's that. 👍

The other good freshman qbs were put on a pedestal. People loved Tmart and Amart after their freshman year.

They were worshipped their freshman years, but also made plays with their legs that were rare and won us games, especially TMart. Defenses couldn't stop them because they were a true dual threat. By the end of middle of their junior years Nebraska fans wanted to run them out of town.

They won the same amount of CONFERENCE games. You see, he can’t say they won the same amount of games, because they didn’t. So he loves to be provocative in his posting to get the unsuspecting to bite.

He will eventually come along and tell you he never said anything different. It’s your fault you don’t understand what he’s saying.

What took Dylan 9 games to accomplish (3 B1G wins) Haarberg did in only 5 starts last year.

I’d like to see more and more leadership from DR and think Holgorsen will help tremendously with that.

Two things:

1. HH can’t play QB.

2. Butler needs to make a move with his hair. As SVP used to say, it’s time to come home.

The problem is the other backups QBs.
