Pass Happy NU Fan 2-2

Interesting.

We ran the ball 38 times compared to OU's 35 even though they gained 100+ more yards rushing than we did.

Pass happy? Martinez was 19 for 25 for 285 yards while the supposed Heisman #1 NFL draft pick was 24 for 34 for 214 yards.

Frost ran the ball more today to keep the ball away from Oklahoma so they wouldn't score a ton of points.

next week Frost will be back to his usual shit of trying to make AM a pocket passer. We play a better D next week.

1995 Nebraska averaged a Division I-A record 7.0 yards per rushing attempt for the entire season

distance between chains = 10.0 yards

7.0 yards times 3 plays (or downs) = 21.0 yards

21.0 yards minus 10.0 yards = 11.0 yards

11.0 yards surplus over 3 plays (or downs)

You're digging the run game? We ran for 95 yards against a soft Big 12 defense.

And a big chunk of it was Martinez scrambles.
I like the run game. Just sayin. I'm not knocking the passing game at all. I like the receivers too. Wish Toure could stay for 3 more years. I just liked listening to the running game today on the radio.

Totally for a rushing minded HC.

Frost's best buddy is up in the booth on the radio call of course it sounds amazing. Reality is much different.

Hey, what was your prediction on the Coastal Carolina/ Buffalo game? I am pretty sure you didn’t have Coastal by a FG.

if by better D next week, you mean a D that gave up 400 yards to a 5’10 running qb then ok.

Is the OP saying Frost should throw more or run more?
simple 6th grade math says we should run more. see my posts above.

unless pass happy NU fan thinks we are going to out recruit:
trestle types at osu
reggie bush employers at usc
burnt orange t-sip
lord knows what's under the table at bama

and out recruit them for the next joe montana, 1984 9ner offensive line & jerry rice...
to run frost's left coast offense.....

with no beaches or mountains but plenty zero degree days...

we can get the roger craigs and tom rathmans...

so I and 6th grade math (highly) suggest we go back to running the football.

(not running the football in a pass happy offense, but a power I / option way)

The pass happy crowd like Tuco will never be able to grasp this stuff, redwine.

Redwine's "math" takes the best rushing football team ever in college football and uses that as an example. Western Ky is averaging more than 12 yards an attempt.

How does the 6th grade math work with that?

It's ironic you mention 6th grade math.

Do you think you will finally pass this year?

Guess how many quarterback sacks Nebraska gave up in 1995 season?
(Hint: 5 less than today)

Answer: If you said zero point zero, you would be right.

Nebraska's average margin of victory in 1995 was more than 38 points, the largest average of any Division I-A team since World War II. The margin exceeded a six-touchdown average despite Nebraska resting its starters in the second halves of most games.

dial back personal attacks, admit I'm 100% correct and move on with life.
Sorry, I apologize.

I should have said you are a geriatric male speaking sternly to water molecules in the atmosphere.

We don't need to run to win. We don't need to pass to win. We need well coached and talented players executing at a high level.

How we execute is far more important than what we execute.

Just admit you have an emotional attachment to the 90s that prevents you from thinking logically.

We don't need to pass or run to win? You may wantn to rethink your post.
