hurry up offense. Has anyone else noticed how bad we are in that area? A lot has been made that this offense is built on playing fast but we're terrible at it. A few examples...
Vs. Illinois
First and goal, 4 minute left-- Frost called for a QB sneak. The staff and team didn't even know the down and distance. But also on that drive NU got the ball with 9:15 left, but took 19 plays and nearly 7 minutes to score a TD.
Get the ball back with less than a minute, down 8- Martinez goes 1-6.
Vs. OU
Last minute drive to tie the game- Two sacks and an incomplete pass.
Vs. Michigan State
1 minute left in first half: Two completions and then sack, sack and a seven yard punt.
47 seconds left in 2nd half with two timeouts: completion then a sack. Run out of time without using the timeouts.
