Our season so far....

Sometimes I have to shake my head with some of our "fans". We won today to make us 7-0. The best start in 15 years. We did this WITHOUT our best WR, Our best TE, one of our top RB's out, our QB gimpy, and both our OT's hobbled. Look, I have no delusions this is a National championship team, but damn, who was saying at the beginning of the season we would be 7-0?? Not many!! Now, some are acting like it will be the end of the world if we lose a couple very tough ROAD games against top 10 teams. LOL...Unreal!! The season is half over and we are undefeated. So, enjoy where we are and where we could be at seasons end. 10-2 after 6-7 rough season is outstanding!! So, enjoy it, have a drink or 10 and chill the f out!! GBR!!

Disappointed at who isn't posting in this thread... not gonna name names, but you know who you are. We've seen plenty of you complaining in other threads today.

Well, Red Rover and I both predicted we would be 7-0. I am not here to gloat or say "I told you so", because there were several others on here who also said we would be 7-0. My point rather is that we should not exaggerate how many doubters there were. Oh sure, there are four or five consistently pessimistic posters on here, but most posters here WANT to be optimistic. They are Husker fans. It was just hard to be optimistic after last year. Of course there are people on here wringing their hands because we struggled against Purdue. But cut them some slack too. That was a very ugly first half.

One thing we can ALL agree on: 7-0 is awesome! And, we have a fighter's chance of beating every remaining team on our schedule.

Even the recruiting kings of the world Ohio State got beat. If we played perfect football, we would be National Champion material. We are not there yet, give these guys a break. They are obviously busting there asses constantly. I will be tickled silly if we only lose to two top 10 teams. GBR forever.

Our defense didnt allow them to score in the second half! They had two big pass plays for touchdowns. Our offense did not have Ozigbo Westercamp or Carter. I expect all 3 to play Saturday. We will beat Wisconsin

It's true, at the beginning of the season 100% of us would have taken a not-so-dominant 7-0 at this point in the season. But it is the nature of Husker fans, once we get to this level, to immediately develop an appetite for the next level.

The plain truth of it is, if we can go 3-2 from here out, no one should be unhappy with that.

And what's more, being ranked in the top 10 these past few weeks is gold for recruiting.
