OT - YouTube TV

What service does get all of them? I'm not familiar with a platform that does. Pretty sure the NFL requires the purchase of NFL Sunday Ticket, which YTTV has. As far as all NCAA, it's gotten every single game and then some that I've ever wanted that wasn't a one off on another streaming platform like Peacock, which you're going to have to get no matter what provider you're using. I don't get what you're saying. I don't believe what you're saying is even possible.
Yeah that's not YouTube's fault, it's just greedy capitalism that you have to shell out one game a year for Peacock.

Going from directv to cox then to YTTV our only gripe is the DVR. It records every show ever, not just new shows. And it doesn’t mark them as watched nor can you delete any (AFAIK).

If you infrequently watch a particular series, it’s hard to know what you watched already when you go back. You either guess or watch for awhile until you figure out you already saw it.

We do like being able to arrange the guide in the order of channels we prefer. And multiview is awesome. Had NFL, World Series and an NBA game on at same time

Sucks. I signed up like 2 months ago...... but i went from dish where i was paying 180 (no negotiating). If it were up for me, I'd just have it for football season.

who watches TV anymore? sure as heck not me.. it only gets turned on for a game or a rare movie that hasn't already been seen.

YTTV is top of the line.
Love how the sporting events have their own folder. Nebraska Football
Nebraska Men's Basketball
etc...etc ....

Dish is the worst they will not negotiate it difficult to get any equipment replaced I would never recommend dish

My wife like dish. I told her for a year to call and try to cancel to get a better deal. She hated that, so im like fine lets do YouTube tv. no hassle, cancel whenever you want. The biggest problems with satellite are equipment costs, and scummy contracts imo. Well that and dish is like 10 Billion in debt. Directv backed out of their deal to buy Dish. It's probably gonna be dead in a few years if I had to guess.

In the end that's probably not great for us as less competition probably leads to higher prices.

Youtube TV price increasing to 83$ on January 13th.
Getting ridiculous. I guess the TV deals are getting passed on to someone.
Those massive TV deals are definitely getting passed on to consumers. But yay, that means 5 star QB's can be paid millions of bucks to ride the pine. That's the exact sacrifice I was willing to make with my labor power.

But seriously though, the prior price point was pretty good for me. Now, I may consider dropping it during the football offseason. Can't keep jacking up prices and expecting no consequences, though I do think Youtube TV itself is far from the only one at blame here.

Can you share subscriptions between households? Like can my dad and I split it and both watch at the same time?

You can split it 3 ways, which is what I do. Doesn't even have to be the same household. Even so, a lot of people my age are foregoing a live TV service because they don't want to pay for it.

I mean, this was always the plan by YouTube TV, it isn't like they are the first ones to come up with "giving you a taste" for free/cheap and getting you hooked.

only if you live in the same zipcode, or that was how it used to work
Nah, you can be in different zip codes last I knew. My other has it, and she shares it with my sister and I who are in different zip codes. Same state, but well outside the same zip code.

I mean, honestly, outside of sports I practically never watch live TV anymore.
