Great tradition with the US Open on Father's Day weekend. My sentimental favorite is Lefty to finally hoist the cup on Sunday would be great.

Ricky is playing solid and I will also be pulling for Jordan. Does Tiger even make the cut?

Tiger or the field right? Lol.

But really not sure. US Open has a way of letting a nobody sometimes win it out of nowhere.

Speith and Rory are obvious picks. I would be happy with Fowler. Mickelson? Ehh just have never been a fan.

From the looks of it the course is only missing the clowns mouth and windmill...Will the winner be over par?

It will be very interesting to see how this new course plays with the big boys. But the sports guys in this area positively looooooovvvee Chambers Bay. It is long. However, everyone who's seen it says to expect tee shots to run forever. "Missing the clown's mouth and windmill"?--I seriously doubt it. Ian Poulter took a verbal shot at the course; but he hadn't even seen it when he ran his mouth. Being in the gallery at a PGA tournament is great fun. Every shot is like a laser beam at the flag. Wish I could be there in person, but we're booked all week and weekend. And tickets were sold out long ago, and prices were very high to begin with. So I'll have to watch it on tv with everyone else.

Doesn't happen often, but I'll take Kaymer to repeat.

I'd like for rory to win but I'm not sure how he will do on this course. Isn't this course a lot like the last two he missed the cut on?

I got Shooter Mcgavin. After his upset loss to Happy Gilmore at the Tour Championship, I feel Shooter is ready to take out his anger on the field.

Bux, you know I love ya, but there is a HUGE difference in announcers who do mainly golf and others who are all purpose.....I heard Menifee say today on a par three after a good drive that the player could get at the very LEAST a birdie....;)

I'm not really a Tiger fan or a Tiger hater - but enough already! There are guys on the course who might actually be around for the weekend, so could we watch some of them, please?

The part I've seen this evening has been painful. Course is really beating them up.

Gotta admit I wasn't listening , just had the video going at work but I had to laugh at the notion of golf announcers under the gun.
Tiger and Rickie in the bottom three after day one. Expected Woods to struggle.......completely shocked Fowler is already done.

Is this the most symbolic thing you've ever seen? Can't do anything but watch his game fly away.

Watching Tiger go down in flames makes for great TV. FOX is playing for ratings and fans are more interested in seeing a once great golfer go down in flames vs seeing the leaders. Expect more of it today as he shoots another round in the 80s. Fox would have been smart to have Brandel Chamlee do a shot by shot analysis of every Tiger shot for real entertainment. He pulls no punches.

Watch the mobile app that follows selected foursomes including Tiger's. After watching it for a couple hours yesterday, I am still shocked at what occurred and Rickie was even worse than El Pussy Cat

After one hole today, Tiger cards another bogey on the first hole to get to +11. Sad to say but he will never win or likely contend at another tournament again (David Duval - Part II).

Gotta say I did like the fact that he was able to throw that joke into his presser after his round.
Something to the effect of "At least I whipped Rickie". At least he can laugh at himself right now....not much else to do.

I expect to see odd bounces in the fairways and it makes for an intersting round when you see the rolls associated with links-style courses. It's great to watch! But watching Clarke's putt makes you sick. There is no way on the green, around the cup, at a Major, this should happen. Grounds crew should be fired. You can have fast greens, slow greens and greens that slope to hell and back but when you have greens that even the weekend duffer wouldn't put up with at $50 a round, then its embarassing.

The FOX crew may be clinging to the Mickelson slobber even longer than the other networks do. Good Lord, he's tied for 46th place - give it a rest.

Is anyone else listening to the stream? Vern and the other announcers are unbearable.

Damn....I take back my joke about it being a golf match Lincoln. This is painful. Fox needs to stay away from golf in the future. Might be the first Fathers Day in a long time that I don't watch the final round. Heard Natalie Gulbis on Thursday on the course reporting.......if they would show her, then I could stand it!

Wow, just when you think Spieth has it in the bag, he makes double and Oosthuizen birdies 6 of the last 7 holes. Now Spieth has to birdie 18 to avoid a playoff.

Good Lord, now Johnson with an eagle putt to win it outright, or two putts for a playoff.

Anybody who doesn't watch the final round unless Tiger or Mickelson are involved is missing a classic finish.

OUCH - Johnson will wear that one for a long time.

3-putt to lose! Wow that was a crazy finish from about 15 in for four different guys. Great final round!

Fitting ending. With that course this Open was more about the shots they couldn't make than the ones they could.

Exciting finish no doubt. And while I definitely enjoy Tiger wins the most, golf is still great to watch when he's sitting at home. BUT, the reason it's so great with Tiger (or used to be) was because he could finish majors. He had ice in his veins and everyone else would wilt on Sunday when he was charging. Looking back at it, maybe it wasn't Tiger everyone was afraid of/wilting to but the moment itself because that was some terrible golf down the stretch for the people contending to start the day. Speith at 17 and DJ pretty much most of the back 9. That three putt on 18 was a choke job. Definitely made for good TV though

anyone else notice Pauline making sure her shirt was open enough while walking off the green with DJ? God bless her and there was a better shot than this...but c'mon, your man just yipped a three putt bogey to fall out of a playoff possibility, maybe take the focus off your cleavage just once. At one point she actually uses her fingers to spread open the blouse to show some bounce.
Don't mind looking....maybe she could post a picture later by the pool to show us what she has rather than this.

You know what also made for good TV? Oosthuizen birdieing 6 of the last 7 holes, which forced Spieth to stripe a 3-wood from 275 yards on 18, putting it about 15 feet from the hole.

Those two basically hit one bad shot between them on the entire back nine. Pretty good for two guys wilting down the stretch.
