Yesterday the NCAA Division I Board of Directors voted to approve the University of Nebraska-Omaha's move to full membership in Division I. This completes the four-year reclassification process for the school's athletic department from Division II.
The Mavericks are now eligible for Division I championships in all sports beginning this year (2015-16). All teams that compete in the Summit League are now also eligible for league championships.
