Think again. This has been a well known fact for years. Hopefully manufacturers will make changes, but doesn't fix the problem in older models.

Not surprising that all this e-convenience stuff comes with reduced security.

That said, my home door locks are generally in place for THEIR protection, not mine.

I don't see what the big issue is. Garage door openers have been around since before my time. The only thing between you and a criminal in your big bad house is a single pane of glass, no matter what the technology level of all the other doodads are.
