Bought my teenage kids a 1998 honda accord with 45K miles on it a couple of years ago. Has manual windows. I told them they were going to finally understand what it meant to roll up the windows.

Great list!!

Most kids have never “heard” of these times let alone touch them. Winking

In ten years that car will probably be in better shape than the car you own now. Laughing

A couple of years ago we were at an old train station that had been renovated into a visitors' center. It had a working outdoor phone booth that obviously wasn't new, but it wasn't exactly historic either - probably circa 1980s. It was hilarious watching people taking selfies while pretending to talk on the phone. You would have thought they discovered some cave drawings.

I had a few BB guns growing up that got me in trouble more than a few times. Fairly certain you get Child Protectice Services called on you in 2021 for that.

I really miss the triangular vent windows on cars between the windshield and main driver's passenger's side windows. There was no better way to blast some air into the car on a warm day than to "cut the wings".

Also, what genius decided to move the dimmer switch from the floor to the steering column? All that crap on the steering column makes it a nightmare to fix a bad light switch, dimmer switch, wiper switch or washer switch. Those switches used to be in the dash (or the floor in the case of the dimmer) and were easily popped out if they had to be replaced.

Or bubble gum that came in a pouch like chewing tobacco.

You are in luck...you can still buy it. Winking

microfiche -- God I hated those things Doing research in front of a huge monitor that really isnt a monitor and you had to have the steadiest of hands. I do not miss those at all !

At the risk of dating myself:

those red rubber dodge balls (I have permanent welts)
Schwinn Stingray
Schwinn Varsity
Voit anything
Popeil pocket fisherman
Stirrup baseball socks
Hokie pokie

Matchbook to hold the 8-track tightly in the Craig Powerplay

LED/LCD TVs don't work with that technology
