OT... Solar Panels for a New House?

So I am getting ready to break ground on my new house in about a week. If you were building a new house would you put solar panels in? I don't know jack about solar panels and was curious if anyone on here has any experience with them. Good or Bad? What Brand? Maintenance? Any information is great appreciated.
