I posted this on the MB, but I thought I'd come give it a try over here. I just bought a border collie/lab mixed puppy (4 months old and a rescue pup), and she is truly an amazing dog. I have not had any type of problem with her, and training has been a breeze so far. We are in the process of crate training, and she understands that being inside of it is not a bad thing. However, if I leave the room (where she cannot see me) for a short amount of time, she will bark and yip excessively (in the crate, outside, in the room, etc). I recently bought a Kong for her, and I'm hoping that helps, but I don't think the problem is boredom. Is this separation anxiety? I've tried a few things on the Internet, but haven't had any luck. Has anyone had any experience with this?
