So didn't want to put it in the title, but how does a guy go towards putting a woman in check. This is not for me mind you, I have never had a problem with this, or gaining a womans respect. I am just afraid that my buddys relationship may be too far gone in order for him to balance the scales so to speak.
Without threat of divorce, what are ways that I can go about offering advice to my friend and examples to try and restore some form of balance in the relationship with his wife? She essentially walks all over him a lot of times, and he allows it and does not stand up for himself. I am just afraid that it is just going to get worse and worse as long as he keeps saying: "Thank you may I have another" type of attitude. Granted, she is not hot, so there is not anything there that would necessitate taking the allowing her to walk all over me approach while gaining fringe bennies.
The latest was the thread that I had posted where she was trying to embezzle 2k of their tax return. Upon catching her in this and getting upset, he still agreed to let her get 1k of it even though she would not tell him what she needed the money for. Obviously this is not something that is going to gain you a whole heck of a lot of respect from a woman.
I know the ways I would go about it (and I am kind of harsh). So that is why I was looking for ways in which to try and give him advice (if it is possible) to try and restore more of a balance in their relationship. Obviously he needs to start putting his foot down, but what are some of the things that he can do in order to facilitate this (as examples?) I feel bad for the dude as I have known him almost 30 years, I just dont know if there is a way to put the foot down now, or examples of it, which would turn the tides at least a little bit.
Anyone have any thoughts on it?
