Maybe everybody knows about this, but I figured it was worth discussing, albeit ever briefly. Photobucket, through careful thought (and without warning), has disabled 3rd party hosting for all but their top tier customers. I've been using Photobucket for years for free image hosting to share photos in emails, web pages and online forums (such as your very own, HOL!). I switched to Photobucket because Imageshack started charging some insane amount. Not to be outdone, although years later, Photobucket is demanding a ransom (just like those that write those ransomware proggies) of $399 a year to host images for 3rd party sites.
Eff that. Personally, I'm starting to shift all my online hosting to Imgur. We'll see how that goes. If you run across one of my posts and you need an image, let me know and I'll do my best to fix the link.
