First time home buying in LNK. Been watching the housing market for the last 8 months or so and it's time to rock and roll. I know home prices are pretty high compared to Omaha lately, but Omaha's not really an option for me. Just looking for pointers and things to look out for. Is hiring a realtor worth it? How far from asking price is too far? Larger down payment to avoid mortgage insurance?
I know there have been a few threads on this before in the last few months, and I'm sure several beyond that but your help would be appreciated. Also trying to get my mind off Nebrasketball. TIA
