Hey just wanted to get some opinions on something I had noticed in my neck of the woods.

I have noticed that quite frequently in business areas where there are bars or places that serve alcohol even in smaller complexes, that there is no overnight parking allowed. This applies to bars especially.

Now I understand businesses dont want people parking in places and taking up space, but is it morally responsible to post no overnight parking in lots that have places where people can get bombed out of their minds and then have to make a choice of possibly getting a $360 plus dollar towing charge ticket if they uber home, or getting in their own car drunk and chancing it to try and avoid that? I mean drunk person making a good decision is not always the best scenario.

Just a normal example, you meet up with some friends at a bar for a beer, you plan on having a few and ubering home worst case scenario. After a few belts then you realize or someone points it out to you that there is no overnight parking in this parking lot. So now you are drunk, or getting there, and faced with a choice of leaving your car there and possibly having to play almost 400 bucks to get it back if it gets towed. Or getting in your car and chancing it with a DUI, DWI or whatever you call it.

Do you think that these no overnight parking spots could even a little bit increase the amount of drunk drivers leaving these places since they cannot leave their car overnight and get an uber, or a cab home? Do you think it is not that big of a deal at all? Since these are private properties law enforcement can not do anything about the no overnight parking. Is there a better way to do this, or is this not such a big deal to most people?

I feel that it could increase the number potentially of drunk drivers leaving these types of places since they cannot leave their cars there or are afraid of getting their cars towed.

Anyways thoughts?
