My mom is battling MS plus was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor which is increasing issues she is having with her balance which was bad enough with just the MS. Her balance is way out of whack now which is causing her to fall and hurt herself. Some of the resulting falls have resulted in bruised/broken ribs on both sides. With her balance she bumps into everything and refuses to use a wheel chair.
I figure with all of the coaches and jocks on here someone might know something we could get her to help. Does anyone know of any light weight rib protection she might be able to wear? I spent some time on the net looking around but didn't find anything yet. We have a wrap for her that she can wear to help with the pain but we also are looking for something like a Flack Jacket she might be able to wear during the day if she is moving around.
Anyone who has hurt their ribs knows that they are painful with most day to day activities and god forbid you happen to sneeze. We are just looking for a little padding to help when she bumps into stuff until the ribs heal. Wearing the padded rib shirts is not a good option because she would struggle to get them on. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. GBR
