OT: Need advice re new Star Trek movie

I am a little behind. I saw the first Chris Pine "Star Trek" movie, but I have not seen "Star Trek Into Darkness." Should I delay seeing the new "Star Trek Beyond," until I've seen "Darkness," or is there no chronological factor to consider?
