OT - My son wants to go to the Navy any thoughts

My Oldest son has his heart set on Joining the Navy after he graduates. He hopes to get stationed in Hawaii so he can be close to family. His mom and I are very proud of him but also very worried about him with the worlds unrest. If any one on the RSS has served in the Navy and could give me some advice I would greatly appreciate it. Meeting with recruiter on Monday night. GBR and GBUSA
