He's a co-worker of my wife. Occasionally, we get together for dinner. He's not your typical, run-off at the mouth Iowa fan and he has considerable respect for the Huskers. Still... he's an Iowa fan, thus he's an easy mark.

With football season fast approaching and knowing we were going to a concert Saturday night, I figured I needed to up the ante on our betting. In the past, we always bet a dinner with the loser paying.... boring. He is definitely a metro male and he hangs out with a bunch of metro males so I know fashion is very important in his crowd. Furthermore, he does a blow-out all day Christmas party every year with 70-100 people showing up. At least 50% of the people at the party are his friends (and I usually only know one or two) so I figured that was the angle for maximum reward if the Huskers win and minimal risk if Iowa wins.

Here was the bet I proposed:
  • Loser has to wear an ugly Christmas sweater of the winner's choosing at the annual Christmas party.
  • The sweater has to be worn for the entire party.
  • Winner pays for the sweater.
  • Theme of the Christmas party cannot be ugly Christmas sweaters.
  • If the party is cancelled or one of us in unable to attend, another very public venue with maximum embarrassment value will be chosen to wear the Christmas sweater.
Here's the sweater I found. I think it has maximum potential with the addition of some "Husker" logos. I think it is a bonus that it's a sweater vest:

I'm thinking it might need some LED lights, too. Anyone have some ideas to make this sweater epic?

FWIW, I will post pics after the party (if the Huskers win).
