Instead of buying a 30 year term life insurance policy, I'm wondering if I can take the premium due it, invest it somewhere long term, and get a similar payout? I think I could come close, except the tax consequence. I would contribute to it every year as though I was paying a life insurance policy.
Any idea on what investment to go with? Thinking of S&P 500 ETF, like Fidelity or Vanguard. Low cost is a major concern.
Thought about Berkshire stock too. Long-term looking for around 10% annual return, which the funds have come close to. (seems high to buy in right now)
