i subscribe to the Journal/Star and I'm amazed at all of the murders and other violent crimes that have occurred in the past several months. What's more, many of them appear to be drug related.
When I lived there in the 80s and 90s there were the odd violent crime, more often than not it was a domestic dispute. I certainly don't recall it on the scale it is being reported now.
Is it becoming an unsafe? What is the root cause?
