Some of you have had this pizza in Omaha. Congrats to the owners. This pizza has been voted 1 of the top 50 pizzas by Food Network from across the country. It is slide #48. BTW, the owners are one of our very own posters on these boards. How about a huge shout out to them.

We ran up to try it out. Good food and friendly staff. Now we're chilling at the Bar & Bait in Ashland. It's a beautiful evening to be out.

I be dubious when it comes to pizza reviews.
Because all pizza is good to me.
And all pizza is probably good to you too.
We talking about different grades of good.

Ok, here is an honest review of their Pizza. I've been to MoMo's and Mellow Mushroom in the battle for the contemporary pizza restaurant. I had the traditional bread with sauce and topped it off with sausage, hamburger, mushrooms and onions. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was light and not overpowering. The dough was something I really enjoyed because with this thin style pizza it can be ruined easily. In all I enjoyed the pizza over the other two restaurants.

Best pizza in Omaha area is Mama's Pizza. Hands down. Lighthouse is good but not as good, I think, as Mama's. Best bang for your buck.

Do hate me... Mama's pizza may give you the "most" for your money, but in no way, shape or form are they even close to being the "BEST" pizza

Best pizza is one of the 3

Mangia Italiana
Orsi's
La Casa

Then you get into the gimmicky pizza's like Pitch, Toppers ect... They are good, but when it comes to pizza the 3 I listed are the best

Just a sidebar...
You know who's got really damn good pizza that's a total bang for your buck?
Sam's Club hot baked whole pizzas. A large pizza baked for you for under ten bucks is a deal. I'll usually pick up the deluxe and the cheese on the way home Friday after work for the family.

There are all different kinds of pizza out there. I love Lighthouse Pizza and their unique toppings. Definitely the best New York style pizza out there. Nom! I love Orsi as well. Mama's also. Don't need to go into La Casa anymore.

Gotta love the the Sparky's Pizza there. Wonder where the sauce comes from? Good stuff.

Lighthouse is my favorite pizza, hands down. It's a great slice and the price is pretty darn good. Plus, they have a drive through that serves up fresh pizza in under 5 minutes. I'm hoping they get another location, preferable on Maple, north of the interstate.

Its pretty hard to screw up a pizza. I like a variety. Lighthouse is quite tasty, I think La Casa is overpriced for what you get, but is also quite good.

To me, there's no question though, the best pizza comes from a Pizza Hut run out of a Conex box in Kandahar staffed by an Afghan who has probably never washed his hands and the hot breeze blows poo dirt all over it while you eat and the smell of the poo pond provides yet more atmosphere.

Or when the chow hall runs out of food at the end of the month, and you end up having a pizza made with canned tuna and thrice reheated peas as feature toppings. And so much chili power to cover up the fact that its gone bad, you can't taste anything but heat anyway ;)

Me and you both friend. NW Omaha 4 Life.

to me pizza is a lot like sex. "there is no such thing as bad sex and there is no such thing as bad pizza. With that being said i usually get little ceasars hot and ready. and after looking back i use the words "hot and ready " to describe some of the women in my life. lol, go figure.

Never been a fan of Orsi's, the crust is to bread like in my opinion. I do love some Mama's Pizza though. The wife leaves town with the kids for a few days tomorrow. May have to go on a trip to Lighthouse with some friends while they are gone. If it is not a great burger that I enjoy, it is a great pizza.

Just not a fan of all of this hipster pizza. There should be nothing wrong having a traditional well made good pie with minimal toppings. Instead you go in and have to order the Mediterranean special with a fresh pressed alfredo and green tomato mixed sauce, etc....

Nobody likes Godfathers?

Godfathers has the best taco pizza around.

Dudleys in Aksarben Village is really good for the non-traditional pizza. Their crust is top notch.

For lunch specials, Sgt. Peffer's has the best lunch special. Two slices and a drink for under $7. That is a red hot, smokin deal. Good pizza as well.

I'm not aware of a place that you can't get a basic cheese pizza.

I'm aware of plenty of places that have fancy pizzas, but also have other things available. My mom eats nothing but basically hamburger or pepperoni on her pizza and I can't think of a place in town she can't eat at.

So the Pizza Hut there is just like every Pizza Hut back in the states? But seriously....thank you for serving our country.

Anywhere that will do a cream cheese pizza for you is a-ok. Cream cheese and pepperoni is delicious. Never had lighthouse...sounds good.

Local place by us recently unseated Lou Malnati's as my favorite deep dish.

I'm not a service member, but a defense civilian. I just accompany America's bad asses. They do the real work...

Dudleys does some non-traditional stuff and some traditional stuff. They have a fried pickle one and a steak one that are both good. But it is their crust that makes it. Really good.

Sgt. Peffer's is good, but it is the value that is stellar. 2 large slices and a drink for $6.53 (that is tax included).

Can't think of a better topping than Sparky's! As for best pizza in town, I stopped going to any of them ever since I started making my own on a Big Green Egg, it's awesome!!

Saturday I bought the Sparky's and a hamburger with ingredients added. A traditional pizza at Lighthouse. I really liked the hamburger pizza. The Sparky's smaller pizza will be the only time I buy that particular pizza. Pizza is really in the eye of the beholder.

Agreed.....I looked up pics of it and it looks hipster, rather than old school.
