A friend has been without water for 4 days. She had no water pressure in the shower and asked for the problem to be addressed. It's an older two-story building and apparently the landlord is taking the opportunity to replace a lot of supply pipes.
She's been without water since Monday, unable to shower, cook, use the toilet, do dishes etc for four days now. Does the landlord have an obligation to put her up somewhere livable? Refund the rent for x days that the place is unlivable?
Also, regarding the work being done. Is there any obligation to have licensed people doing this work or to have any inspections done? I'm assuming the work is limited to opening a few holes in walls and replacing water supply lines.
TIA
