The first item on the agenda should be Gulati's resignation.

He did good for our program but created to many riffs. For example, how does the current MLS soccer MVP not even get a look at our squad? He totally changed the entire youth soccer system as well...
Arenas sounds like the next coach in waiting (again). Whoever it is, lets get our act together and get qualified for the next World Cup...go Yanks!

Which current MVP player?
Regardless his entire condescending attitude drove me crazy - plus his hate of all things MLS.
I missed the Costa Rica game but the Bradley interview after the Mexico game was classic.
Glad he's finally gone so I can think about going to a match in KC again. :)

the MLS vs the Premier or Champions league is akin to the Spanish pro basketball league vs the NBA or Dominican baseball vs Major League baseball

the MLS is the junior league and players aren't going to develop playing against far, far inferior competition

Juergen has kind of a similar problem that Pelini had/has. His coaching isn't terrible, but he's alienated a lot of people who's support he needs by treating them like dog poo.

Seemed like a fine hire at the time (Charlie Strong?), but the wheels have just been spinning. We're not seriously going to Arena again are we?

The buzz certainly seems to be about Arena. Interesting - since Keano has retired and Stevie G isn't (probably) coming back the Galaxy are left with Dos Santos and........????? Plus the new LAFC team is coming in in the future - --and this is the first time in forever since Galaxy didn't make the playoffs ----the plot thickens.

I'm talking Feilhaber. He's played outstanding lately and our midfield play has suffered bad. In form vs out of form matters imo.

I guess we'll see soon enough who the new coach is...would rather see someone new than a rehash but it's going to be a tough cycle no matter who get the job (we do lack high level talent and we're old...not a good combo)

Sorry, forgot about Benny. I don't follow KC but I do remember people questioning the decision to not call him up. Feilhaber's response to the firing news was pretty funny!

I get the incessant bashing of MLS but we just got worked by a team (Costa Rica) that had 4 MLS players on the pitch for them-and they did quite well. Some guys come into form and some guys leave it. You gotta give your team the best chance with what's working now, not two years ago. Why was Yedlin not playing over Timmy CHandler the last two games? Why didn't we cap tie CCV (Carter Vickers) in our last game? I love the General (Michael Bradley), but he hasn't been playing great the last 2 seasons for us. Nagbe had a beef with the coach so he didn't even come to camp. Jermaine Jones is a walking red card that likes to play slow. Other than being physical, Josey hasn't been a big threat up top in a while. If we're going to get our butts kicked, we might as well try something new...

Having Cameron and Dempsey out hurt bad the last two games (not sure that Dempsey ever plays for the national team again with the heart issues). I'd like to see Feilhaber, Nagbe in the middle. Put Pulisec in the middle or up top. Get some speed in the D with Yedlin. Get a new young keeper in there for the future (both Guzan and Howard are to old). We may lose worse now, but it'll help our future. Go Yanks!

What do they call it a pitch - it is a farging field. Why are we talking about soccer???? Football....whatever the fudge it is called. All I know is if it can't be dunked, raced, knocked out of the park or dived into the end zone it ain't worth watching. GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

If you don't care for soccer why are you in an OT thread about it? You're one of those 'omg people like something I don't, the world is supposed to revolve around me' people, huh?

All good comments and questions. Besides the anti MLS bias Jurgen's superior than thou attitude was hard to handle. Spot on comment about walking red card Jones - he's like a bull in a china shop. Hopefully he'll get that red card tonight! Altidore, when healthy (which isn't that often) is good but hasn't been that great. I'm convinced that Bradley must have had some black mail info on Klinsmann cause Bradley played no matter what - even when he returned to the MLS.

Should be interesting to see what happens in LA without Bruce. Maybe they'll look up Sigi? As far as Dempsey no longer playing for USMNT many Sounder's fans figure that he won't be back there either, which is a very sad way to finish out his career. He and Morris were just figuring out how to play with each other when Dempsey's heart problem surfaced.

Now off to watch some play off games! EBFG!

I wonder if they would ever consider Roberto Martinez, he seems to be very U.S. friendly (on all of the espn soccer broadcasts, has done a lot with Men in Blazers). Would hate to see them go back to Arena, but Galaxy has been pretty good the past years. Wish they gave him a little more time
