I am looking for some insight or advice from others who have previously relocated for a job. A little background...
I’ve been with my current employer for 7 years and the next level of advancement would more than likely require a relocation. We love where we’re at, no kids, and are in our early 30s. It’d be extremely easy to stay complacent where we’re at when we live comfortably and have an overall great life. On the other hand, moving would provide management opportunities which, in turn, would bring more money, a new challenge, etc.
I’m just finding the thought of leaving a community we love, lots of friends, a comfortable job, etc. tough to swallow. I’d love to hear some of your stories of relocation and how things worked out in the short or long-term.
