OT- Ichiro did not pass Pete Rose

Say what you will about Pete Rose, but he is still the all time hits leader. The ONLY reason the MLB is promoting this Ichiro thing or so they can try and take him out of the record books. So let's look as the math:

Ichiro has played 16 seasons the majors, and has 2979 hits (about 200 per 162 games) a really good number. But they are including the 1278 hits he had in Japan. Calling his all time professional baseball hits, 4257, passing Pete Rose.

But wait you say. Pete Rose played 24 MAJOR league seasons getting 4256 hits. He also played five years in the minors. Those are also professional baseball hits. And he has 676 of those. His total would then be 4936 total professional baseball hits. Still nearly 700 being Ichiro.
