OT: Harrah’s casino coming to Nebraska

And Iowa sheds some more tears about reduced tax revenue.

This is undoubtedly good, but have you ever played casinos not on gamstop? I tried, and the experience surprised me because I've never seen such handy functionality in a platform before, especially at online casinos.
It was new to me, but I got used to the fact that winnings can be convenient and more attractive for me as a novice gambler.
I used to play on several sites, but I realized that quantity does not mean quality in time. That's what motivated me to change my game for a better one. This was the unique

So everyone who works at the meat packing plants will be able to go deposit all their "extra" money in this corporations coffers. Nice.
I don’t know what the point is of calling out meat packing employees, but yes, in America, they, like lawyers and doctors, have the freedom to do as they please with their checks.

They don’t need someone to tell them how they should or should not spend it.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Sports Betting not included in the Nebraska gaming law that was passed.

The stupid thing is that Nebraska has allowed all of the shittiest forms of gambling (keno, scratch cards, Powerball) for decades, but not table games that actually give the player at least a fighting chance of winning. So Nebraska wasn't really morally or ethically opposed to gambling, just winning.

That's true, Nebraska has loved some dumb gambling for a long time.

I'm pretty good at Keno.

Walk the floor of a casino in this area sometime and tell me how many doctor and lawyers you see versus poor and minorities, who can least afford to be there and who's families will suffer the most. So yeah, I meant exactly what I said. If that's offensive to anyone then I'll end with this...I don't care.

I guess everyone loves Osborne while choosing to ignore his wisdom warning against these casinos...

If you don't care, why do you need to weigh in? Obviously, you do care.

Not sure of the profession but I always end up next to a chain smoking old lady with an oxygen tank. 😠

I thought the only place where casinos could be were on Guardian lands.
Have to have a racing license to build a casino. So far there’s only the 6 licenses/tracks. Omaha, Lincoln, Columbus, Grand Island, South Sioux, Hastings. But more places applied at the last Racing and Gaming Commission meeting including Bellevue, York, Scottsbluff, Norfolk, and Gering. Will be interesting to see what the Commission decides.

It's really sad, but the casinos arrange to pick up elderly folk and take them to their casino. My old boss's mom went three times per week. She had plenty of dough, but her kids managed to keep her losses to $80 per trip or roughly a thousand bucks a month. Losing 12G a year was chalked up to entertainment in the budget

Used to work with a gal who lived on the boats. Would brag about winning 4k at the slots but failed to mention she spent 6 k. Winner winner. Lol

You obviously have zero clue in how casinos stay in business. It isn't due to the poor people that is for sure. Its the high rollers that keep them going. The people who have private planes and fly in just to gamble. The people that so many of the common folk watch win $1200 jackpots time after time. They dint realize they are playing $50 or more per spin to hit that jackpot that often.

Ive worked in the casino business for 12 years. There is a reason they give free food and rooms to people that play a lot. Bring those winnings back and stay her for free.

Yes the poor are trying to get that big easy payday (it wont happen very often). But these casinos wouldn't be in business without the Doctors and Lawyers and.....FARMERS. they need. Losing 1 high roller is like losing 10,000 bottom card holders. So you dont need to see lots of doctors and lawyers.

Do you think doctors go to the casinos in their scrubs?
Do lawyers go there with a briefcase and law books?

How do you spot these people?

The only people who tell everyone what they do for a living are fighter pilots.

What ever happened to the Giordanos that was supposed to come to Omaha ?
That really pissed me off when they didn't build one here. They ran an online poll, and whatever city got the most votes would get the next chain. Omaha won and beat out Des Moines. Here we sit years later! We still don't have one, but Des Moines does? How does that work exactly, does our City suck that much?

I think a casino is a great business if you own it... makes a lot of money.

Going to a casino? this doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Hookers and blow? You don't need a casino to find that.. Any college campus will do.

Omaha is a New York Pizza style town. We have one or two Chicago Pizza restaurants. That's more than enough.
