OT: Happy Birthday Nebraska!!

I was in Montréal in 1992. Just out of boot camp. Flew to DFW, got a rental and drove to Omaha to pick up my buddy, a freshman dorm roommate. Return drove the rest way to the Adirondacks, in upstate New York.

From there, we drove North the next day. You need a passport like today. You just needed I'm an American citizen driver's license, tell him what you're there for and cross the border. All I was thinking is what am I going to bring back across the border and avoid the taxes such as alcohol and s***.

Anyways, we get up there and we park wherever. We're rolling around the French quarter checking stuff out. The Sun starts going down and they start shooting off fireworks. I swear I was among about 500K people. They were celebrating their 350th anniversary in Montreal. And I didn't know it. Just happened upon it. One of the many awesome anecdotes of my life.
