Stunningly stupid if the state insists on following this reactionary course.
Its laughable that with the multitude of problems this country currently have, that a top priority issue with our elected officials and practically the #1 news issue around is where boys and girls go pee pee at school.
My understanding is that it isn't only where they go pee pee, but also where they shower. Having 3 middle school / high school age daughters, this concerns me. Maybe it shouldn't, I don't know, but the first time a male (at least anatomically) showers in a female lockerroom inhabited by my daughters, I'm not gonna be very happy about it.

Doesn't this litigation apply to post-sex change folks? If so, this is much ado about nothing. The GOP needs to lighten up on this topic.

The Left believes in fictional science regarding the climate and denies real science on boys and girls. All dire weather predictions have come and gone but boys are still boys in my book.

I don't care about the bathroom issue....but I wonder how the NCAA would react if a women's coach started recruiting all guys to play for their teams. With the price of college, I'm sure plenty of guys would claim the other gender for a few years for a full scholarship. I knew guys at UNL that were on the women's practice squad and didn't get paid anything for it.
So use whatever bathroom you want, but keep sports separated by biological sex.

"Stunningly stupid" is the perfect way to describe this. North Carolina has lost upwards of $40 million since implementing their dumb law. Why the hell would Nebraska want to follow their lead? There is no benefit at all to legislation like this, none.
Also transgender people already have an abnormally high attempted suicide rate, why would the state try to make their life harder?
Can't believe such a fake controversy could hook so many people, it's remarkable.
Pretty sure sex-changes and/or gender identity is different now than it was 200 years ago.
I think there are many factors that determine whether this is a fake controversy or not.
If a man identifies as a woman and wants the right to use the women's bathroom (toilet or shower) pre-sex change then I would have an issue with that. But if it's post-sex change then I can live with that.
I'm sure there are plenty on the left that are okay whether it's pre-sex change or post-sex change. Well in that case of course there will be legit controversy. Both sides (right and left) need to discuss the issue, create clarity and explain it clearly to the public.
This has never been a problem until this law passed. Now it's time to freak out!
Also how are you going to police something like this? You can't, it's impossible.

How are you even going determine who was born what anyways? Are we spose to have a copy of our birth certificate with us if you want to use the bathroom at Subway?
Just go to the bathroom and keep your head down, do your business, and worry about yourself like a normal person.
If some guy had it in his mind to assault a young lady in the middle of the day in a Target bathroom, do you really think he is going to not do it because of some law? Like he would be ok with committing sexual assault but draws the line at bathroom laws?
