Best voice of the group. RIP.
Makes me sad, loved her. This is one of my favorite songs from that group, not sure it got the airtime I thought it deserved.....
Group can't be the same due to her voice and keyboards. If you have ever seen them live, it becomes evident how many of their hits were written by her.
Still having a tough time. Fleetwood Mac has always been a favorite of mine, easily top 10. She was as good as it gets.
I know Stevie Nix got most of the props in Fleetwood Mac for her voice but McVie had the real talent as a musician and very good vocals.
Am I wrong for thinking the band is better without Stevie Nicks and with just Buckingham and McVie as the singers? I hated Stevie Nick's songs.
Lindsey Buckingham was added to a floundering Fleetwood Mac band and Lindsey said he would not join the band unless they also took Nicks, that's when the band really skyrocketed to the top.
Buckingham and McVie (silky vocals) were the two best vocals and song writers in the band and Nicks made her mark with the band through the songs written for her to sing by most successful songwriter of the band Lindsey Buckingham.
Buckingham knew the songs he wrote for Nicks were a perfect fit because of her rather intense warble style. Now that McVie and Lindsey Buckingham are longer in the group they will never be the same when and if they continue to tour.
Once Lindsey Buckingham left the group I lost interest in the band but still loved their albums they put together especially Rumours. jmo
