OT: Fellow Star Wars Geeks, Rogue One Trailer is out today

Watched the new trailer this morning. Looks good and I'm hoping they have Vader in it.
I'm very glad Disney bought Star Wars away from Lucas. I'm not even a big Star Wars geek, but I grew up watching the originals, so I'd like to be able to enjoy additional movies of that storyline. The stupid sh*t Lucas was pulling by having Greedo shoot first, changing the Force from being a Zen like state and control of your surroundings, to suddenly just being a genetic anomaly was a slap in the face to fans imo. The prequels were god awful, with episode III being virtually unwatchable.
At least now we have an established movie studio that has proven itself with all the Marvel movies now in control of it all.

Looks good but it's a story we know the outcome. Basicily how did the spies get the death star plans, which Vader let them have. Ugh....
Star Wars has reused the same story line in 4 out of 7 movies. (Blow up death star or a planet that does same thing) At least Star Trek did things different. I'm a huge Star Wars geek but I'm done with it, I can enjoy 4,5,& 6 and consider it good and closed for me.

I just enjoy this stuff with my sons. Maybe for some nothing will ever measure up to 4,5 & 6, but my sons didn't stop talking about The Force Awakens for weeks. Makes it fun for me!

The main character appears to be a Rey lookalike. Maybe theres a connection. Otherwise, they should mix things up a bit.

Can you explain what this is, for someone that obviously wasn't aware there was another movie in the works? Anytime I see the Imperial Walkers, it piques my interest. The Empire Strikes Back is still my favorite.
BTW, Felicity Jones is das fabulous babe. 2 parts Chrissie Hynde and 2 parts Audrey Hepburn. Yum yum..
Just as the marvel universe has many movies from the same genre, often joining them, the Star Wars universe is now attempting to do the same thing. There is also a movie in the works about Han Solo pre Star Wars: a new hope.
Great way for Disney to make a butt load of money, which I will gladly pay for...
They are calling it a "spin off." It's going to be about the rebels who stole the death star plans, which lead to the plot for episode 4 (1977). The plans Leia put into R2D2.

On an awesome childhood, yea, but its too late.
I lied, they played episode one back in elementary school one time. Which means I've seen bits and pieces, making me Captain America.
