ot fcs championship

I don't know how those guys do it, an actual playoff? How do they all not DIE!
Michigan. Washington. South Dakota State and Montana will all be playing their 15 game this week. It’s not like they play more. And we are getting a 12 team playoff next year.IMO that’s to many 8 is enough. A 9-3 team absolutely has no business in a playoff for the NC.

All 12 teams would’ve had 2 losses or less going into the playoff.

A couple of things to look at so that we are comparing apples to apples. SDSU and Montana played 11 regular season games and no conference championship game. I cannot see a day where FBS schools drop from 12 to 11 regular season games, I suppose I could see the CCG going away, but greed is real.

Ah yes, FCS - something I'm quite familiar with.

"Big Sky's Three National Seeds Tops FCS
Led by Montana's No. 2 overall seed, the Big Sky Conference topped all other leagues with three national seeds as Idaho secured the No. 4 seed and Montana State earned the No. 6 slot."

As it turned out the Vandals got a first round bye and I was able to attend the first 2nd round game against S. Ill (which we won) but unable to attend the 2nd game as I was in Omaha. The Vandals lost that game but it was a great season for us!

Even though they're a fellow Big Sky team don't think I can stomach cheering for the Grizz.

Great move by Idaho to drop to FCS. So much more realistic for their situation -- they can now compete for championships.
On another note, there are close to 15 Nebraska kids on the SDSU roster, and I believe two playing for Montana. Really looking forward to this game

There will be teams that prove this wrong. It’s gonna be fun. Better than bowl games no one cares about

First time a ccg costs a conference to not get a team into the playoffs they'll want to get rid of ccg...doing away with divisions will help that

Correct and Perhaps. But as divisions go away there will be less of a chance of that happening. The odds of a three loss team finishing second in a 16 team league and not being in the top 11 are pretty slim

good one so far

decision time for the Griz on the goal line to start the 2nd quarter

Darn - should have been the Vandals in that game.

Ok, I kid. We're not there yet but it's good to see how the Vandals have turned it around since getting rid of Petrino and family.

Griz have been game today as a 14-point underdog

not sure SDSU even ran 20 plays in the first half

Yes, he's a starter. I never understood why he left Lincoln. Played enough as a freshman to letter and looked good.
He was a walk on. He’s getting school paid for. Just had a big sack. Almost all of his playing time was special teams.

Okay, now that I'm actually watching the game my negative feelings about montana are flooding back.....not to mention that I had to fly on the grizz airplane on my Moscow to Seattle flight....guess that makes me anyone but montana today. ;)

that's the game

too bad, sdsu was just better

fun, unexpected season for the Griz

There were at least one 3-loss teams in the Top 12 the previous 9 seasons.

Four 3-loss teams in the Top 12 in 2014, 2016 & 2018.

12-team playoff guarantees Notre Dame has the best possible chance to be included without joining a conference. I hate them and their elitist crap.
Honestly I respect them for doing their thing and not caving into the pressure of joining a conference.

i remember when notre dame was special. there was a time when they wouldn't play in bowl games due to academics. now, they are little different than any other blue blood, portal, nil and all. i know will howard and his family are more than a little dismayed with how his recruitment went, then not.
