Ok, so a bit of info on my league: 12-team standard, top 6 teams make playoffs.

So I am sitting pretty at 5-0, about to go 6-0 after this week. I have a trade offer from a guy in our league who's 1-4 and needs help at RB. He's offering me Antonio Brown in exchange for Melvin Gordon and Marvin Jones.

Here's how my team currently sits:
QB - Drew Brees
RB - Jamaal Charles, Spencer Ware, LeSean McCoy, Melvin Gordon
WR - DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, Marvin Jones, Michael Thomas
TE - Greg Olson, Julius Thomas (currently my floater player as Olson will have a bye next week)
K - Haushka
D/ST - Denver

My only concern with making the trade is my lack of depth at RB after making it, otherwise I am leaning towards doing it. Big Ben's injury doesn't overly concern me as he will be back following the week 8 bye...what say you, Husker fans?

Browns numbers might be affected by Big ben going under the knife but I would still do it. Try to package a couple of your WR's for another RB for depth. Most people in a 12 team league would be happy to have McCoy and Charles starting at RB. I am not sure Jones will continue to put up the numbers he has so far. Detroit has issues at RB and TE. Antonio was the #1 draft choice in most leagues for a reason

I have a hard time ever advising against getting Brown. He's not as good without Big Ben, but he's good.

My concern with trading away Gordon is you're gonna have a RBBC issue with Ware and Charles where you don't know which of them will score well that week. If you're in a league that starts 2 RB, that could become a weakness.

I agree that I'd try to turn around and deal a WR or two for another RB.

I'm not a fantasy expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Express last night, so here goes.

Winning fantasy leagues requires star-power. Yes, depth helps overcome issues throughout the season, but you are in good shape to move on. You'll need as many stars as you can get and this gives you another star. I think it's a no-brainer and here's how you'll know it - the other teams will howl when the deal goes through.

Not with Big Ben out. You might be able to pay a little less for another stud WR. Shop around.

As long as the trade isn't crazy lopsided, if you get the best player in the trade, you're probably better off. Gordon's ypc is terrible, he's just scored a ton of tds which are much harder to predict. They don't really have anyone else so he'll still get opportunities, but his tds will likely regress. Brown has arguably both the highest floor and ceiling of any player in fantasy. Get him and keep rolling.

The deal has been made...now officially a Antonio Brown owner...now get that knee in shape, Ben!
