My mother lives in the Adirondacks of upstate New York. She swears the fall foliage is best she has ever seen. She sent me a pic taken by one of her friends. It's of Lake Flower in Saranac Lake, New York. My mother lives about six miles north of Saranac Lake. I wish I had time to be up there and take my own pics. That would be sweet!

I got some great shots some 20 years ago when I was last there when the leaves changed. I believe I was still shooting film back then. It is quite the pretty setting.

If it doesn't show up right away, flip thru a screen or two, it's in there I think.

Lite, my mother sent me the pic that was taken by a friend of hers. She lives in the Bloomingdale, New York. It is just north of Saranac Lake, about six miles. I don't believe that is the same pic, but who knows if it was used by another service. It looks like that photo was taken from a slightly different angle. Lots of people probably have taken that shot from that spot. I'm sure I've gotten a pic taken somewhere from somewhere similar when I was up there.

I moved South a couple years ago from Boston. I spent a lot of time in upstate NY while I was there and I agree, the scenery is amazing. I sure don't miss the winters though. Upstate NY is the coldest place on Earth in my opinion...

I totally agree. Beautiful to look at, but their winters are like the summers here in Texas. Long, harsh and enduring. They get a foot of snow overnight and it's just another day. Why do you think that they put all those prisons up there? Even in summer you are going to give yourself up. If the elements and animals don't get you the brush and black flies will. My mother has a view of Mt. Whiteface from her bedroom window.
