I don't know of anybody who has their opportunities limited by not being able to get on an airplane without a vaccination. You're just being silly now. You have no RIGHT to get on an airplane unencumbered by whatever rules your airline or government might implement. Thank goodness for that.

And this is why we should never get rid of cars in a FREE country.

First I'm paranoid, now I'm silly.

This has the potential to be much more than just not being able to fly without being vaccinated. You're missing the big picture.

It is paranoid and silly to think they won’t have a special section for you and all the other lungers at Applebee’s. Just don’t forget to protect yourself from the mRNA spillover, with essential oils, before you go out.

My family is more into healing crystals. Love Applebee's, though.

I personally think you are missing the big picture. I understand your concern about Big Brother but in this case I don't think it is anything any more sinister than requiring some basic immunizations to attend public school. If you're an anti-vaxxer well I don't know what to say to you. By all means, be a sentinel animal for the rest of us.

I own 4 late model large SUVs a regular pickup AND a 3/4 Ton pickup and all of them are 4x4s. I'm free as a bird and have no desire to get on a frickin airplane to anywhere. If I can't drive there, I don't need to go.

Whatever allows me to travel.
I've got a friend who does mission trips abroad fairly often to developing countries. It's amazing the raft of vaccinations he has to either get or prove he's gotten in order to fly in to those places and then be allowed back in the U.S. Meanwhile we let people wade the Rio Grande from some countries with the highest infection rates of Tuberculosis in the world...

If you trust your immune system to ward it off which is what most people have done, then do that. No one cares here either.
Oh some definitely care if you choose not to get the vaccine. The guilt game where you'll possibly hurt someone else if you don't get the vaccine.

But so many of those same people can’t be bothered to accept a remote risk to possibly protect their vulnerable neighbors...

When I went to India I had to get a few and a literal shot for Cholera. It tasted what bleach smells like if that makes sense. Still came back with Giardia

I would do some research on the doctor in that video before you accept anything she says as fact. While I wouldn’t outright dismiss her view, it certainly is not in line with consensus opinion. She was fired from her job and it not practicing professionally right now. She also championed an unproven treatment for Covid which later showed no benefit and actually probably made things worse, so it’s kind of strange for her to be against the vaccines but in favor of other drugs that are demonstrably more harmful than the vaccine at this point.

I also want to clear a couple other things up.

I live in Iowa. We have a neat little dashboard that is very detailed on the deaths and hospitalized.

https://coronavirus.iowa.gov/

90% of the deaths are not from nursing homes. It’s actually right at about 40%.

I am in the 30-40 year age group so I pay close attention to that. There have been about forty deaths in my group in Iowa. What I find more concerning is that there are about 150 people diagnosed with Covid in my age group every day but on average about five people in that age group are admitted to the hospital. So if I catch the disease it’s likely to be mild, but there is potentially a 3-4% chance I get sick enough that I need to be hospitalized. Worse, those with severe disease have a higher likelihood of long term consequences from the disease. I might develop COPD in middle age or suffer some permanent neurologic or cardiac impairment that limits my quality of life in some way.

I accept that the vaccines don’t guarantee any safety, but playing those averages it was a pretty easy decision for me.

You said the vaccine doesn’t prevent infection, it only makes the disease burden less severe. You are correct. This is how all vaccines are designed to work.

Quoting someone from 2005 for an opinion and trying to apply it to a virus that came into existence in 2019 is a ridiculous stretch. I think that needs to be said.

I would also be remiss if I didn’t point out that the word you are trying to use is “effective” and not “affective”.
The idea that 3-4% of 30-40 year olds who catch this are being hospitalized is lies, fear mongering, stupidity, ignorance and disingenuous panic porn all rolled into one.

On top of that if you were in the medical field you'd know that "hospitalizations" have increased because they're calling everything done at a hospital a hospitalization. Even people seen and sent home in the same day. How serious is the illness if you're sent home the same day?

You have zero credibility.

This doesn't surprise me at all, this vaccine was mostly about the money. The more vaccines created and distributed = more money made.

This does not appear to be true. If it were I think Pfizer would be charging more than $20 a dose. And my Pfizer stock would be much higher.

Who can argue against limiting someone's rights if we do it because of "safety"?

Nope. Just a big fan of individual freedoms and liberty.

Here is a rather lengthy but interesting video. It explains a lot and they claim to have all the data to back up their claims on their web site. Before anyone jumps in and calls them something, do so after reviewing their data and background information you can refute.
Dr. Simone Gold is a right wing extremist from Beverly Hills (the only one is existence) actively participated in the attack at our nation's capitol. Dr. Gold pushed hydroxychloroquine and other hoaxes as well. None of her theories have been proven valid, but by just pushing the lies out there, she's gained quite a bit of fame and notoriety. And just because she has the title "Doctor" in her name, doesn't mean that she is an expert on vaccine research, epidemics or anything else she speaks out about. Would you hire a gymnastics coach who never played football to coach your football team just because she's a "coach"?
