OT- Do you have to be a paid member to use Conversations/messages?

don't know how to start a conversation/message with another person on this board by the use of the mail envelope on top right corner. Help would be much appreciated. thanks

I just subscribed recently, so I don’t know how it works either but i sent you a message. It seems like it worked, click on you envelope and see if you see anything.
