Great movie. Depp was incredible as Whitey Bulger.

Had seen mixed reviews on it. Glad to see some positive review here.

Know it turned some people off when he interviewed that Depp didn't think Bulger was an evil guy or something to that effect. Might see the movie after all.

Some people in South Boston looked at him as a "good guy". The film showed his family man side. But make no mistake, he was a violent criminal. Real question is was he an FBI informant or rat for all those years. Or did the FBI and John Connolly just let him get away with whatever because they were buddies as kids and grew up in South Boston together. Whitey contends to this day that he wasn't a rat.
