Interesting article. I posted this thread b/c I know a lot of Husker fans follow the Royals. The Royals got hit by pitchers quite a bit to start last season (Rios broke got his hand broken over this)-due to their success & style the previous post season. Let's hope we don't see a repeat of that this year...they are the CHAMPS now afterall (I could see the Blue Jays doing it...). This "old school" philosophy was likely a major culprit in most of that...
I am not encouraging bad sportsmanship but the game could use a little more excitement. Of course some fans have a real problem with any sport in which someone celebrates a play.
