My friend was the only non-family guest at an Oakland A's reunion dinner. He was seated between his buddy and Vida Blue. About halfway through the meal Vida turned to him and said, "I'm sorry but...I can't remember playing with you. What was your name again?". They all had a good laugh when he replied "That's because you didn't. I'm one of Dick Green's friends.". Dick has always said Vida is a great guy.
