I had Verizon FiOS for TV and Internet when I lived in Florida. I could do a commercial for Verizon FiOS - seriously - that's how much I loved their service.
My next-door neighbor in Sarasota (Dan Aaron - google if you must) was one of the three original founders of Comcast. His widow, Gwen, is one of my favorite persons in the world.
When I moved to Memphis, since VZ FiOS wasn't available here, I subbed to CMCSA's Xfinity.
3 1/2 years later, I can honestly say that CMCSA Xfinity is a steaming pile of sh*t.
While FiOS isn't available here in MEM, U-Verse is.
FiOS is fiber-to-the-house, whereas U-Verse is only "fiber-to-the-curb."
Any RSSers have any experience (positive or negative) with ATT U-Verse?
Spent 20 minutes on the phone this morning with a
U-Verse rep. Ended up negotiating a package that is >$50/month cheaper than what I'm currently paying for CMCSA Xfinity ($192/month), and I got Sahib to throw-in the MLB Extra Innings package and a $150 AMEX gift card.
For those of you with U-Verse - should I pull the trigger, or not?
